The Lake Superior Lodge, formerly the Winfield Inn, is located in Bayfield Wisconsin. The Lodge is a Native-American-owned, woman-owned and minority-owned hotel and condo association. The Lake Superior Lodge sits on the shores of Lake Superior just feet from the lakefront and sits atop a hill giving it a scenic view of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands in Bayfield Wisconsin.
Bayfield Wisconsin is the gateway to the Apostle Islands, which commonly uses the Madeline Island Ferry to cross to the islands, and/or the Apostle Islands Cruise service. Bayfield is touted as the best little city in American by USA Today, and home to the Bayfield Apple Festival, which was named the Best Fall Harvest Festival in the Midwest by the Smithsonian Magazine.
Owners, Catherine Joy, is a Certified Public Accountant and Real Estate Broker with 35+ years of experience; Joseph Montano is life long resident and tribal citizen of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa; Mursel Demirkol, a local restaurateur has 15 years of experience living and building in the Bayfield area. Lastly, Curtis DeCora, a citizen of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, is the owner of Superior Marketing and was recognized by the National Center of American Indian Enterprise Development as a "40 Under 40 Winner."
