Attending The Crow Fair is a once in a remarkable lifetime experience. This spectacular event is the largest modern day Indian encampment in the United States. We will spend 5 days in Montana - one of the most beautiful spots on earth. We will base out of Billings, the largest city in Montana and situated right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains! From there we will shuttle to the Crow Indian Agency. Driving in you will see 1,500 teepees, parade cars draped in serape and more than 100,000 people. It is truly a breathtaking sight!
Our trip will include a visit to the Little Bighorn National Monument where the Sioux and Cheyenne famously defeated the 7th Cavalry of the U.S. Army, a look over Devils Canyon, and a boat trip of Big Horn Canyon to name just a few of the fabulous sites we will visit!
We will sleep in teepees - or NOT ☺ motel options are available - bare back and relay horsing racing (which began on the Crow Nation) are one of the many highlights of this unique experience. Amazing feasts, dancing, drum groups, storytelling are all part of this magnificent event.
Our guides are amazing and will be talking stories of the Apsaalooke people. Their culture, history and customs will be shared with our guests by one of their elders. The Crow Agency is home to over 10,000 tribal members the largest reservation in Montana, over 2.2 million acres.
