Spring in Talking Stick

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community

Skeg Tash (Good Day!) The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community proudly welcomes you to Scottsdale, Arizona and the Talking Stick Destination. The Salt River Indian Community is home to two distinct tribes, the Akimiel O’odham (Pima) and Xalchidom Piipaash (Maricopa); both share the same cultural values, but maintain their own unique traditions.

Spring under the warm Arizona sun is the perfect time to bring your family and experience some of the many draws to the Talking Stick community- baseball, butterflies, golf, and much more!  Spend a few days exploring the area and forge away lifelong family memories at this unique cultural and entertainment destination.

Day 1

Enjoy breakfast or lunch at Talking Stick Resort’s Wild Horse Buffet. This international buffet features southwest inspired food options and a sorbet bar! After eating, a quick trolley ride will have you soaking up the Arizona sun at a Spring Training game at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, home of the Arizona Diamondback and Colorado Rockies! Enjoy the game with family and friends, then hop aboard the trolley back to Talking Stick Resort to enjoy pool time at the hotel, featuring spectacular mountain views and daily drink specials.

Day 2

Grab a quick breakfast at the Blue Coyote Café at Talking Stick Resort where you can enjoy breakfast with local flair; Southwest Benedict and Ranchero beef & cheese omelets. Then head to Butterfly Wonderland to reconnect and rejuvenate. Walk among over 2000 free flying butterflies in America’s largest rainforest atrium.  Following Butterfly Wonderland, head over with the family to Topgolf where you will enjoy golf fun, tasty eats and spectacular views of the resort.

Book an early dinner at Orange Sky, on the 15th floor of Talking Stick Resort. Enjoy a view of the sunset from the patio while enjoying a glass of wine and then sit back and enjoy a spectacular dinner featuring the culinary delights of Chef Ron Dimas. After dinner, head back downstairs for the Native American Dance Showcase featuring the world-renowned Yellowbird Dancers and some nightly entertainment.

Day 3

Book an early morning massage at The Spa at Talking Stick or a tee time at Talking Stick Golf Club. The Wildhorse Grille at the Talking Stick Golf Club features Talking Stick tea and Talking Stick frybread tacos- not to be missed!  Afterwards, hop aboard the trolley and head to Octane Raceway.

Electric karts that go up to 45MPH await you, as does handball bowling, an arcade and a spectacular outdoor patio! After an afternoon of family fun, enjoy the sunset with a walk around the McDonald’s Rock’n’Roll Classic Car Show, featuring over 200 classic cars and live music.
