Aztec Ruins National Monument is a 900 year old ancestral Pueblo Great House, once 3-4 stories tall and over 400 masonry rooms. In an easy walk, the visitor today can find at this World Heritage Site, the only reconstructed Great Kiva – a ceremonial structure, the 3rd largest in the Southwest, a rare tri-wall structure, corner and t-shape doorways, walk through original doorways into rooms where they can view 900 year old ceilings and Heritage Garden. For the visitor, Aztec Ruins is a moving and revealing experience of a unique culture connection of the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico and the Hopi.
