Bedré Fine Chocolate

Bedré Fine Chocolate Information

Located in Chickasaw Country in southern Oklahoma, Bedré Fine Chocolate is a Native-owned chocolate company operated by the Chickasaw Nation. The chocolatier began in the 1980s as a small candy company near Ada, Oklahoma, before being purchased by the Chickasaw Nation in 2000 and expanded into a nationally recognized premium chocolate brand.

Today the company produces more than 100 chocolate products, including handcrafted confections, chocolate bars, gift assortments and specialty coffees. The name “Bedré,” derived from the Norwegian word for “better,” reflects the company’s commitment to quality ingredients and traditional chocolate-making methods.

As the only Native American tribe to operate its own fine chocolate brand, the Chickasaw Nation incorporates cultural pride and community investment into the business, supporting educational, health and community programs across Chickasaw Country.
