Monacan Indian Powwow Information

The Monacan Indian Nation welcomes you to the 33rd Annual Monacan Indian Nation Pow Wow scheduled for June 6–7, 2026, in Monroe, Virginia. The two-day event features indigenous drumming, dancing, and Native American crafts, typically drawing 5,000–8,000 participants. On top of dancing, the powwow has vendors with homemade goods and food trucks of all kinds.

Honoring the traditions of the Monacan Indian Nation, the Powwow is an annual event usually held on the third weekend in May or the beginning of June. The pow wow offers an opportunity to experience and honor the culture and history of the Monacan Indian Nation in Central Virginia, featuring participants from across North America.
