Campo Kumeyaay Nation

Campo Kumeyaay Nation Information

Part of the Kumeyaay culture that once stretched from today's San Diego region far into Mexico, the Camp Kumeyaay Nation survived harsh policies of the Spanish, Mexican and United States governments and achieved federal recognition in 1893. It is one of 18 tribal nations in San Diego County and operates the Golden Acorn Casino and Travel Center, as well as its Campo Environmental Protection Agency.
