Quality and Not Quantity
Dixie Ellis’ Lower Antelope Canyon Tours believes in providing its visitors with quality guided tours. What separates us from other tours? Rated number one for hiking tours in the Lake Powell area, smaller group sizes (15 or less people per tour guide), storytelling of Navajo folklore, and geographical information of Lower Antelope Canyon and surrounding area.
Sightseeing Tours
The Sightseeing Tours last between 1 to 2 hrs. Keep in mind, wait time for entry into the canyon may vary between 1 to 3 hours during peak season and may be in the sun. Sightseeing Tours are an all walking tour from beginning to end. Visitors will be walking just over 1800 meters (1.1 miles roughly) round trip. Tours into the canyon will begin by a descend down five flights of stairs (35 meters) then gradually ascend up 8 separate staircases that will bring you back to ground surface.
It will take our visitors a short 10-minute walk from the booth to the entrance of the canyon. The trail leading to the entrance of Lower Antelope Canyon is both rocky and sandy. Lower Antelope Canyon has a “V” shape frame narrow at the base and wide on top. Tours are not recommended for people who have issues with enclosed spaces.
Sightseeing Tours are an informational tour rather than a photographic tour. Visitors are welcomed to take photos with hand held devices (no tripods allowed).
