Stroll through the museum, where you can read interpretive panels, including one highlighting the return of the California condor, and watch them live through our condor cam. Since April 7, 2022, Chah-pekw O’ Ket’-toh “Stone Lagoon” Visitor Center has been the first Tribally operated center in the California State Parks system, offering a space to engage with Yurok history and culture.
Step into the media room to watch a short film on Yurok stewardship and Chah-pekw village history. Explore museum exhibits highlighting the land, including the return of Prey-go-neesh (California condor), viewable live through our condor cam.

- Kayak Rentals: Available onsite or online for self-guided tours. Each rental includes a paddle, paddle strap, Personal Flotation Device (PFD), and dry bag.
- Visitor Center Tours: Join a guided walk-through for a deeper connection to the exhibits, Yurok history, and the Tribe’s ongoing stewardship of the land and waters.
- Guided Lagoon Tours: Paddle alongside Yurok Tribe interpreters on select dates, these tours offer unique insight into the natural and cultural history of the lagoon. All kayaking equipment is provided.
- Boat Launch & Parking: Large parking lot and boat launch open to both rental users and visitors bringing their own watercraft.
- Gift Store: Browse locally sourced and Indigenous-made items, perfect for souvenirs or gifts.
