Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve is the perfect place to connect with nature and get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life. Located in the rolling pine forests and cypress-lined waterways of southwest Alabama, nature lovers will enjoy exploring our hiking trails, which offer some of the best bird-watching in the State. Catch up on some family bonding time while enjoying our beautiful campsites. Poarch Creek Indian Tribal Elder Billy Smith played a significant role in the establishment and vision of the Reserve.
Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve is a natural place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. Located in Atmore, Alabama, just off Highway 113 south of Interstate 65, Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve offers camping, recreation, and quiet surroundings in the heart of nature.
Our campground includes 47 full hook-up RV sites with water, electric, and sewer service, along with 20 RV sites featuring water and electric hook-ups. Guests looking for a more traditional camping experience can choose from 15 tent campsites with water and electric or primitive camping areas tucked throughout the property.
Visitors can spend the day tubing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking, birding, or exploring our horse trail. The sandy beach and swimming area provide a peaceful spot to unwind, while the natural surroundings offer plenty of opportunities to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.
Kayak
Spend the day on the water… Experienced guests can enjoy the numerous waterways throughout the area by kayak. Rent from us or bring your own. You can launch right from Magnolia Branch’s boat ramp.
Canoe
Explore our lake or creek by canoe. Hourly canoeing available on our lake or enjoy a longer canoe trip down Big Escambia Creek. Available year round.
Bike Rentals
Available year round! We now offer bicycle rentals. We currently have one standard size available for hourly rentals.

The Beach & Swimming Area
Available year round! Get your tan on at our sandy beach, which offers cool, clean water perfect for swimming or just lounging and soaking up the sun. Dig your toes in and stay a while!
Fishing
Our fresh water lake is stocked with blue gill, catfish and shell cracker fish. No license is needed to fish, just bring your poles and bait. Fishing is open year round.
