Admission-free and open to everyone, the Poarch Creek Indians Museum invites you to step into the story of our people and experience Muskogee Creek history firsthand. Explore exhibits that share how our ancestors lived—featuring beautifully crafted stoneware, pottery, tools, baskets and textiles that reflect daily life in early Creek villages.
You’ll see baskets woven in the traditional way and stunning examples of Creek artistry, featuring pottery, shellwork, copper tooling, quilting, and handwoven textiles. One of the museum’s most meaningful displays includes original copies of the Petition for Federal Recognition, submitted to the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1980—an important milestone in the Tribe’s journey.
Located in Atmore, Alabama, the museum is easily accessible and makes a perfect day trip or weekend stop.
Come visit, learn, and experience the living heritage of the Poarch Creek Indians—where the past and present come together in one unforgettable place.
